RHIZOME

As an urban nomad, I fly over roads and oceans through clouds that flow from a metaphorical cartography of energy. Constantly connected to my environment and other living beings, inspired by natural elements as well as scientific research, my artwork oscillates from microcosm to macrocosm and is based on an aesthetic of displacement and trajectory.
"To enter the intense blue that Chen Mei-Tsen offers us is to go on an adventure, to browse a travel diary full of memories rich in emotion, inked, topographic, cherished and cracked. We are caught in the web, the paradox of wandering and being part of a territory. We follow the footprints, maps, networks, tumults, windings in abundance which construct the primary identity. We begin to embrace the forms, deploying the root architectonics to a breaking point that grips the guts while opening horizons. Because the trace is there, tenacious, rhizomic, which invites us to penetrate every interstice, to travel through arteries, forests, synapses, floating worlds, smart cities as well as remote urban areas.
